It became an autonomous state within the Indian Union in 1972 and gained full statehood in 1972. The name "Meghalaya" translates to "Abode of Clouds," a fitting description for a region blessed with heavy monsoon rains.

Day 1: Shillong - Exploring Nature and Spirituality

Morning (4:00 AM): 

7:00 AM Visit Umiam Lake 

9:00 AM- Arrive in Shillong, known as the "Scotland of the East."

10:00 AM : Elephant Falls

- Visit the enchanting Elephant Falls.

 - Marvel at the cascading waters amidst lush greenery 

Noon (12:30 PM): Lunch ( Enjoy a local lunch at a nearby eatery )

Evening (1:30 PM): Laitlum Canyon

 - Head to Laitlum Canyon for a stunning sunset.

4:00 PM Reach Shillong and chek into hotel, enjoy the Shopping local culture 

Day 2: Cherrapunji - Waterfall Delights

Morning (4:00 AM):

 - Drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth.

- Visit the serene Wei Sawdong Falls.

 - Enjoy a delicious local breakfast in Cherapunji

Afternoon (9:00 AM) Arwah Caves

 - Explore the mysterious Arwah Caves.

Afternoon (12:00PM) -   Seven sister Falls

- Witness the majestic Seven Sisters Falls.

Evening (1:30 PM): Nohkalikai  falls

- Visit the iconic Nohkalikai Falls.

After 3:00 PM : Dainthlen Waterfalls

 - Explore the captivating Dainthlen Waterfalls.

Day 3: Cherrapunji - Double Decker Trek

Morning (6: 00 AM): Head to Mawsmai Caves and Double Decker Trek

- Embark on the exciting Double Decker Trek.

Afternoon (3:00 PM): Continue Trek

Day 4: Shnongpdong - Exploring Villages and Lakes

Morning (5:00 AM): visit rainbow falls and trek back to base camp.

Morning (8:00 AM) : Have delicious breakfast and head to Mawlynnong

- Drive to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia.

 - Explore the picturesque village.

Late Morning (10:00 AM): Dawki

- Visit Dawki and enjoy the crystal-clear Umngot River.

Noon (12:30 PM): Lunch

 - Have lunch in Dawki.

Afternoon (3:00 PM): visit Shenapedong and enjoy crystal clear boating and the cliff jumping

 - Spend the afternoon at your leisure.

Night (8:00 PM): Dinner

 - Camping on the Shenpedong river.

Day 5: Waterfalls Galore

Morning (6:00 AM): Departure to Guwahati

Late Morning (8:00 AM): Phe Phe Falls

 - Visit the enchanting Phe Phe Falls.

Noon (12:30 PM): Lunch

 - Enjoy lunch in Guwahati.

Afternoon (1:00 PM): Krang Suri Falls

 - Explore the mesmerizing Krang Suri Falls.

6:00 PM Night Cafes

 - Explore Shillong's vibrant nightlife.

 - Visit local cafes and enjoy live music.

Here is a list of things to carry for a trek:
When going on a trek, it's essential to pack the right items to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Backpack: Choose a sturdy backpack with proper support and adjustable straps to carry all your belongings.

Trekking Shoes: Invest in a good pair of trekking shoes that provide ankle support, good grip, and are comfortable for long walks.

Clothing: Pack moisture-wicking and quick-drying clothing suitable for the trek, including:
T-shirts
Long-sleeved shirts
Trekking pants/convertible pants
Fleece jacket or down jacket (for cold weather)
Rain jacket or poncho
Extra pair of socks and underwear

Trekking Gear:
Trekking poles (optional but helpful for steep descents or difficult terrain)
Headlamp/flashlight
Water bottle or hydration bladder
Sun hat/cap, Sunglasses
Sunscreen lotion and lip balm with SPF
Insect repellent
Personal medication (if any) and First aid kit
Sleeping Gear (if required):

Advance payment of 30% against confirmation. Balance of 70% while boarding.
We accept: Online Transfer UPI Payment and Cash only


Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation Policy: 
- Cancellations made 7 days prior to the date of journey are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 4 days of the journey date may incur a cancellation fee.
- No refund shall be initiated against the cancellation made within 24hrs from the date of journey.

Health and Fitness:
- Participants must be in good physical/mental health and have the necessary fitness level to undertake the trek.
- It is recommended to consult a medical professional before participating, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. 
- It is the participant's responsibility to inform the trek organizer of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect their ability to participate in the trek.

Safety:
- Participants are required to follow the instructions of the trek guide at all times to ensure their safety.
- The trek organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the trek in case of any unforeseen circumstances or safety concerns.


Liability:
- Participants join the trek at their own risk and the organizers will not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, loss, or damage during the trek.
- Trekkar India does not take responsibility for the loss/damage of any personal belongings
- It is advised to have personal travel insurance that covers adventure activities and trekking.**

Itinerary change:
- The trek organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary or make necessary changes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, natural disasters, or any other factors beyond their control.
- Participants will be notified of any significant changes to the itinerary as and when it occurs.

Environmental Responsibility:
- Participants are expected to strictly respect and preserve the natural environment at the entire trip.
- Littering, damaging, malpractice or any illegal activities that harm the ecosystem is strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct:
- Participants are expected to respect the ethnicity, culture, environment of the place of visit and fellow trekkers.
- Any behavior that is deemed disrespectful, harmful, or illegal may result in immediate expulsion from the trek without any refund.
